Gearing Up to “Spring Forward” and a TRID Reminder

With a busy start to everyone’s year, a reminder of the approaching Daylight Savings Time change on Sunday March 10, 2024, and a technical requirement with the Loan Estimate (LE). As we all know, TRID rules require creditors to disclose on the LE the applicable time zone when disclosing the expiration date for the estimate of closing costs. For those creditors located in areas that observe Daylight Savings, the LE must reflect this time designation.  

Do not assume your loan platforms automatically make this change – now is the time to ensure your loan origination and processing groups are aware of this update.
